Shortly after the acquittal of the four police officers charged with the brutal beating of Rodney King, Sylvia Wynter penned “NO HUMANS INVOLVED”: AN OPEN LETTER TO MY COLLEAGUES. The title refers to an internal code used by the Los Angeles Police Department, in relation to cases that involved Black and Brown Angelenos. This group exhibition, curated by Erin Christovale is a “contemporary response to Wynter’s original call to action.”
